Environment Policy
Transfield Transfield supports sustainable environmental policies and actions through balancing environmental stewardship with financial, engineering and maintenance requirements, and societal impacts. Our goal is to ensure that company facilities and operations are in compliance with federal, state and local environmental standards. We believe that an appropriate balance can and should be achieved between environmental goals and economic health. We intend to be a leader in responsible environmental management. Transfield requires all of its employees to participate in and accept responsibility for achieving the following goals:
Continually improve the company’s business performance and conduct all its operations in an environmentally responsible manner;
Safe handling of construction materials and byproducts;
Conservation and recycling of raw materials & natural resources and reduction in the amount of waste generated by the company’s processes.
Maintain compliance programs to inform and train employees in the performance of their duty to fulfill the company’s environmental policy;
Implement and maintain an Environmental Management System to ISO14001 requirements. Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and other initiatives to which we subscribe;
Incorporate environmental better practice into our core business plans and management processes so that we can facilitate in the prevention of pollution;
Develop a company-wide framework for setting and reviewing our environmental objectives and targets, which will include key environmental management and performance indicators against aspects of Transfield’s operations; and Provide regular monitoring and reporting against these indicators to all staff;
This Policy is communicated and made available to all company personnel, supply chain, members of the public and other interested third parties.
The CEO & the top management of Transfield give their full support to this policy in ensuring that Environment is an integral part of its operational and management functions. The Environmental Policy will be regularly updated to take account of legal and best practice amendments
